Noah Guthrie, a graduate of Greer High School, has been added to the cast of "Glee" for its final season.
Guthrie, a 2012 Greer High School graduate who initially gained national attention for an acoustic cover of the song "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO that went viral on YouTube, is taking time off from a busy tour schedule to join the cast of "Glee." He posted the following on his official Facebook page:
"I'm still trying to figure out exactly how this happened, but I'm so excited to announce that I will joining the cast of the Fox TV show, Glee, for its final season! I'll be playing a character named Roderick. I'm in LA now at work shooting the upcoming season. This is my first time acting so I doubt I'll be winning any awards any time soon.
"My music is still the most important thing to me and I'll be back out playing live shows and recording new music as soon as Glee finishes. This was such an unexpected opportunity and will give me so much more exposure that I just could never have dreamed of. I'm so thankful to Fox for inviting me to join this great cast and for giving me the opportunity to learn and grow as an artist!
"I hope you'll keep an eye out for when the show starts and will watch! It's going to be a fun season!

Most recently, Guthrie performed as back up for Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson's tango performance on "Dancing with the Stars." She danced to a live acoustic version of "Problem" from his 2013 album, "Among the Wildest Things."
