Kamryn Mathis, from Greer, was crowned USA National Princess 2019.

Mathis, nine years old, also won scholarship money and a prize package during the pageant held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Mathis also was crowned Supermodel and placed second in Casualwear and Covergirl optional competitions.

As a national titleholder, Mathis will be traveling the country for appearances, photo shoots, charity events, and interviews.

“We are so thrilled to be represented by a young woman who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and who has a passion to serve her community and be a role model to other girls,” said Jackie Watson, Founder and CEO of USA National Miss. “The USA National Miss Scholarship Organization is honored to have Kamryn as one of our national queens and we know that she will inspire other girls to achieve their goals and make an impact.”

As part of her prize package, Mathis will also cruise to the Caribbean the spring, and will spend her year traveling extensively with paid vacations and opportunities.

Mathis will be featured in national ad campaigns including billboards. She also received a $5,000 scholarship to further her education, as well as a modeling contract with MMG Model Management in New York City, among other prizes and opportunities.

Mathis enjoys singing, dancing, is a cheerleader and loves reading and YouTube tutorials. She loves spending time with animals, and one of her service projects involves working with a local animal shelter where she adopted her pet, Waylon, a Chihuahua. She begins the fourth grade next week.

Mathis reads, sings and plays her ukulele and discusses her personal platform with children. Her platform, Princess With A Purpose, is about friendship and kindness, anti-bullying and bullying prevention, and volunteerism in the community.

Mathis said she wants to encourage self-confidence in school age children by discussing “What Makes You Beautiful?” and starting a blog and YouTube page under her name.

Mathis will be promoting the pageant’s anti-bullying platform, Crown C.A.R.E.S (Creating a Respectful Environment in Schools), the second straight year she won that scholarship. She will visit classrooms to talk about bullying awareness and prevention.

Mathis will crown her successor at the 2020 national pageant, June 28-July 4, 2020 in Disney World.
