Parking rates at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport will increase beginning July 1.
GSP commissioners approved the increase that will occur for the first time in 14 years.
The daily garage rates will increase $12-14 daily and all other daily lots will increase $1.
The weekly maximum for garages A and B has the biggest increase from $84 to $98 weekly. The weekly maximum for all other lots are $7.
The increased parking fees are projected to add nearly $40,000 in additional revenue that will push the annual gain to more than $400,000. Officials said parking netted $372,928 in the past budget year. There are nearly 4,500 parking spaces available.
GSP is within a half year of completing its $125 Terminal Improvement Project (Wingspan) that will make it one of the most contemporary regional airports in the southeast, according to commissioners and GSP officials.
