Erin Eady, a student at Greenville Tech Charter High School, placed first in the state at the All State Band auditions in Columbia. She will sit "first chair" clarinet in the 11th-12th grade band.
GTCHS student Jack Markowitz placed third in the state and will sit "third chair" flute in the 9th-10th grade band.
The announcement of the placements was made by music teacher Abe Marsh.
Both students were invited to play in the separate All State Orchestra.
