Reese Hannon threw for two touchdowns to help the North dominate the South 42-3 in the annual North-South All-Star game today at Myrtle Beach.

Hannon connected with Jordan Hallums on a 27-yard scoring strike with 12:48 left in the second quarter and a 9-yard TD pass to Blue Ridge wide receiver Bryton Griffin with 16 seconds left in the half. The extra point gave the North a 33-3 halftime lead.

Hannon completed 5 of 11 passes for 55 yards. He did run the ball.

Hannon, who has committed to Furman University, can take added pleasure in that the North had the second widest margin of victory since the South’s 46-0 victory in 1950. The win tied the North’s 42-14 triumph in 1987 for the second most points scored.
