One of the gems of Greer's landscape is Lake Robinson and J. Verne Smith Park north of the city.

The Friends of Lake Robinson hosted its 6th Annual Day of Celebratiion Sunday with demonstrations, kayaking, educational programs of recycling natural resources and music provided by local artists.

The annual celebration helps raise the visibility and character of the Lake Robinson community, projected by the City of Greer as one of two major residential growth points over the next 10 years.
