Law Enforcement Softball Tournament at Century Park

Law enforcement agencies and public safety personnel from the Upstate will be competing in a softball tournament honoring law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Games begin Saturday after opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. The championship round is Sunday with games beginning at 1 p.m. 

The tournament will be held at Century Park at 3605 Brushy Creek Road.

Proceeds from the tournament have more than $21,000 to five families of upstate law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty since 2011. Due to the tournament's partnership with Gallagher's Army: Fallen Officer Fund have matched each of the tournaments donation totally $42,000. 

Participants in this year's tournament include teams from the Greer Police Department, Greenville Police Department, Greenville County Sheriffs Office, Laurens County Sheriffs Office, Anderson County Sheriffs Office, Spartanburg County Sheriffs Office, and the Greenville County Detention Center. 

A playground for children is available. T-shirts, raffle tickets and concessions are on sale at the tournament.
