Lima will serve as Medical Director for Medical Oncology and Associate Center Director for Translational Research. He received his medical degree and completed his residency in Brazil. Lima received his fellowship in hematology oncology from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
He was a program leader at University of Miami in gastrointestinal and drug development in oncology
Thomas will serve as the Associate Center Director for Experimental Therapeutics. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
Thomas completed her medical oncology fellowship training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was Associate Professor, Division of Hematology-Oncology and Grace E. DeWolff Chair in GI Oncology, Department of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina before joining Gibbs. Thomas has special interests in clinical research, gastrointestinal malignancy, specifically liver, bile duct and gallbladder cancers.
