Lowes Foods announces opening, local vendors selected for Greer store

Lowes Foods grocery store opens Sept. 23 at Riverside Commons. The 5 p.m. ribbon cutting, with the public invited, is the official opening.

The store is across from Riverside High School at the intersection of Suber Road and Hammett Bridge Road.

Officials have announced the store hours as 6 a.m. – midnight.

“Like all of our stores, the Greer store is very focused on supporting all things local while providing exceptional attention to our guests,” Lowes Foods President Tim Lowe said. “Our commitment includes offering produce sourced through our partnership with more than 200 local farmers and featuring a wide assortment of unique local products found throughout the store.”

Lowes officials held a vendors fair in Greer and has added 13 products to be sold and on display at the Community Table throughout October.

Lowes will announce October's calendar with new products presented at the Community Table on Thursday.
