Torqavious Brice Johnson, 18, is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Officers responded to a residence at 1:10 a.m. on Werninger Court in the Lismore Park subdivision for a reported shooting, according to Lt. Patrick Fortenberry.
Once officers arrived on the scene, Dalorian Javon Tyler, 17, of Greenville was located sitting in a chair inside the home with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the police report, Medical personnel pronounced Tyler deceased a short time later.
Torqavious Brice Johnson, 18, who was charged, reportedly had picked up a handgun from the floor after it fell. He pointed the firearm at Tyler while handing it to him when it discharged fatally striking Tyler, according to Fortenberry.
