Alma Schweigert Barton, 91, widow of Glenn Young Barton, died September 7, 2014 at her home.

A native of Hebron, North Dakota, daughter of the late Fred and Lydia Ewald Schweigert, she retired after 38 years of teaching at Duncan Chapel Elementary School and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Cynthia Barton of Clemmons; N.C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Alma Schweigert of Solvang, CA; one granddaughter K.D. Barton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary conducted Rev. Jack Samargo, Mr. Jon Schweigert and Rev. Greg Kelley.

Burial will follow in Tyger Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary.
