Asa Leonard Duckworth, 79, widower of Sharon Sherlin Duckworth, passed away April 25, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Furman Willie Duckworth and Sara Ruth Leonard Scoggins, he retired from C & C Trucking after 52 years of service where he earned the S.C. State Safe Driver of the Year Award, was a member of Reidville Masonic Lodge #102, Shriner and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Penny Jones (Michael) of Reidville and Kelly Duckworth Price (John) of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Samuel Jones (Neely), Anna Henderson, Nicholson Jones, Tori Duckworth and Erin Pemberton; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Duckworth.

Mr. Duckworth was predeceased by a brother, Phillip Avery Duckworth.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Westwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. Jon Osborne.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of Penny Jones, 113 Dark Wood Court, Woodruff, SC 29388.
