Bruce L. Petty, 62, of 106 Earl Drive, died March 15, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional, after a brief illness.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late C. Walter and Bonnie Webb Petty.

He was a retired teacher of Boiling Springs Junior High after 26 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Lyman.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Carol Stribling Petty of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Carol Petty of Landrum; one son, David Bruce Petty of Greenville and one brother, Walter Dean Petty of Spartanburg.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lyman, conducted by Dr. Scott Stancil, Rev. Jimmy Dillard and Rev. George Jones.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
