Carroll Monterey Cox, 87, widower of Barbara Freeman Cox, passed away September 23, 2021.

A native of Spartanburg, son of the late Archie W. Cox, Sr. and Ethel Westmoreland Cox, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired business owner and a member of Reidville Road United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra D. Barger (Steve) of Moore; a son, Kevin M. Cox of Moore; one brother, Fred W. Cox of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer Barger (Warren) and Amy Barger (Johnathon); and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Emma Claire.

Mr. Cox was predeceased by two brothers, Archie W. Cox, Jr. and Ray M. Cox.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Reidville Road United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Danny Wiley.

Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home.
