Charles M. Walden, 72, passed away on Jan. 22, 2018 at his home.
A native of Gainesville, GA, son of the late Willard and Gusalee Satterfield Walden, he was a retired employee of J.D. Hollingsworth and a member of Pelham First Baptist Church.
Surviving:
Surviving are his wife, Sherry Grubbs Walden of the home; three daughters, Joy Taylor (Scott), Lisa Rollins (Audy) all of Greer and Hope Poole (Rob) of Biloxi, MS; three brothers, Roy Walden of Woodruff, Marvin Satterfield and Charles Satterfield both of Greer; two sisters, Shirley Kelly of Greenville and Katherine Pierce of Young Harris, GA; six grandchildren, Cassidy and Raymond Thornton, Aubrey Rollins, Cole Taylor, Alyssa Poole, Emily Rollins and Charlie Poole and one great-grandchild, Barrett Thornton.
Mr. Walden was predeceased by grandparents, Gordon and Mae Satterfield.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at Pelham First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Patrick Clark and Rev. Chad Hastings. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
