David Edward Welchel, 69, passed away September 18, 2019.

A native of Greenville County, son of Laverne Gooddy Welchel of Wellford and the late Samuel Edward Welchel, Jr., he was a former radio announcer for WSPA and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Also surviving are one brother, Samuel Andrew 'Andy" Welchel of Greenville; a sister, Katherine Welchel Tate (Greg) of Spartanburg; a half-brother, Samuel Edward Welchel III of Moore; half-sister, Rebecca Welchel Westmoreland of Seneca; and a step-brother, Charles B. Welchel of Spartanburg.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held at Triune Chapel, 222 Rutherford St., Greenville, SC 29609, conducted by Rev. Deb Richardson-Moore at a later date.

The family is at their respective homes.
