David Marion "Buddy" Evans, 61, passed away June 29, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late James Carlos Evans and Doris Smith Evans, a retired truck driver, he was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving:

Surviving are his daughter, Kathryn Suzanne Jackson (Jay) of Lexington; two sisters, Jimmie Knighton (Mike) of Duncan and Kathy Evans of Taylors; and two nieces, Jennifer Kelly (Tim) and Kayla Chan (Sergio).

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly.

Visitation will be held Sunday at the mortuary following the service.

The family is at the home of Susan Allen.
