E.J. Oliver, 89, formerly of 210 West James Street, widower of Bobbie Jo White Oliver, went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2013 at Ashlan Village.

A native of Greer, son of the late Early and Dora King Oliver, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of Hoechst Celanese, and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law, Vonda Kay and Dr. Jim Rutland of Princeton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joel Allen and Sandra Oliver of Greer, Ken and Donna Oliver of Hiddenite, N.C., and Robbie Graham and Gigi Oliver of Greer; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Odell Mosley and Rev. Keith Kelly. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.
