Earl Edward Sammons, Jr., 79, passed away October 1, 2016 at his home.

A lifelong resident of Taylors, SC, he was a son of the late Earl Edward Sammons, Sr. and Anna Josephine Gonzalez Sammons, and a 1955 graduate of Taylors High School.

He attended Clemson University, and was an IPTAY representative and IPTAY Chairman for Greenville County.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Cathy Moree Sammons of the home; a daughter, Dawn Sammons Demauex (Scott) of Taylors; two stepsons, Paul and Bryan Gordon both of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Patrick Malphus.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
