Era Carolyn Crum Nelson, 77, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away July 1, 2015, at her home.

A native of Goulds, Florida, daughter of the late Carol Benson Crum and Thelma Coulson Crum, and was a retired senior designer of Huntington Ingles Industries-Newport News Ship Building and was of the Baptist faith.

Era was a beloved wife, mother of eight children, had seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

While raising eight children, Era went back to school and earned her degree in graphic design.

She went on to retire after thirty years of dedicated service from Huntington Ingles Industries-Newport News Ship Building.

As a passionate crafter and accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed sharing and teaching her skills to family and friends. She was a beautiful, loving, and talented mother, wife, and friend who will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, Michael Nelson, four daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Patrick Minton of Anderson Island, Rebecca and Eddie Castle of Forest City, Denise and David Parris of Hendersonville, and Kimberly and Steven Burrell of Flat Rock, four sons and three daughters-in-law, Joseph and Vicky Seelig and David Timothy Seelig all of Hendersonville, Dennis and Martha Seelig of Bonita Springs, and Samuel and Kristen Seelig of Etowah; two brothers, Leon "Buddy" K. Mock of Aiken and John "Butch" C. Mock of Tampa; a sister, Barbara Morrow of Merritt Island.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday at the mortuary prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary in Greer, SC, conducted by Deacon David Nelson.

Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Blue Ridge Garden of Memory in Brevard, NC.
