Faye McKinney Garland, 83, of Lyman, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016.

A native of Bakersville, NC, she was the widow of Howard Garland and the daughter of the late Robert Lee McKinney and Lucy Grindstaff.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg.

Faye lived her life as instructed in the Great Commandments to Love the Lord with all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all thy mind; And love thy neighbor as thyself Matt. 22:38.

She was unwavering in her love and commitment to her family and friends. She was active in the Eastern Star, Clemson Home Extension and Springfield Garden Club.

Surviving:

She is survived by her children Howard Grey Garland (Lisa) of Greer, Patsy Elaine Garland of Spartanburg and Janie G. Seay (Kenneth) of Greer; sisters, Thelma Buchanan of Asheville, NC and Delores McKinney of CT; grandchildren, Andrew Seay, Laura Maillet (Bertrand) and Kelly Tillinghast (B.J.); and her great-grandchildren, Kevin Seay and Lilly Tillinghast.

Funeral Services:

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Eggers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will immediately follow in the chapel with Pastor Bob Aho officiating.

Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ashlan Village Memory Garden Fund, 415 Brenda Way in Lyman, South Carolina
