Frederick D. Hardy, 82, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2016.

A native of Andover, Massachusetts, son of the late Frederick Charles and Marion Elise Cate Hardy, he was a retired employee of General Electric, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Apalache Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Faye Paris Hardy of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Butch Howard of Taylors and Karen and Lewis Smith of Lyman; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lori Hardy of Greer; one sister, Shirlie MacLeish of Andover, Massachusetts; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hardy was predeceased by one son, Ricky Hardy.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Apalache Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper and Rev. Butch Howard.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
