Garvin Aaron DeShields, 85, died August 14, 2015 at the Manning House.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Miles and Lucy Hudson DeShields, owner of Deshields?s Grading.

Garvin was a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the Hejaz Shriner.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Cassell DeShields of the home; a daughter, Debbie D. Thurston of Duncan; one grandson, Sean Thurston and one great-grandson, Joshua Thurston.

He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert DeShields.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, conducted by Rev. Jeff Shirley.

Pallbearers will be Sean Thurston, Ken Howard, Bengy Rhodes, Rocky Rainey, Grant DeShields, and Billy Pack.

Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
