Charles Gregg Gowan, 79, passed away December 26, 2020.

Born in Greenville, son of the late Grace Gowan Hill, he retired from the S.C. Army National Guard 228th Signal Brigade after 32 years of service.

He was a retired employee of University Lawn and Shrub and served on the Reidville Town Council and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

Gregg loved The Lord and loved and cherished his family. He loved his church and was dedicated to the community.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Martha Snow Gowan of the home; two sons, David Gowan (Michelle) of Bonaire, Georgia and John Gowan (Michelle) of Macon, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Charles Gregg Gowan II, Caroline Gowan, Lauren Gowan and Lindsey Gowan.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services with military honors will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Matthew Yon.

The family respectfully asks that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.

The family is at the home.
