Harold Dean Brown, 86, widower of Nina Athalee Mills Brown, passed May 2, 2021.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Isom Earl and Lunora Henson Brown, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, retired owner and operator of Brown's Woodworking and H & D Woodworking, and a member of Northwood Baptist Church where he coached church basketball for many years.

Mr. Brown was a member of the American Legion Post #115 of Greer, having served as the athletic director for over 30 years as well as previous post commander.

He was also a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge #146 A.F.M. of Greer for over 50 years, coached Little League baseball for Greer Recreation and was an avid golfer.

Surviving:

Surviving are a son, Dwayne Scott Brown (Aleshia) of Greer and two granddaughters, Rebecca Brown (Brandon Mason) of Duncan and Caroline Brown (Brandon Duncan) of Travelers Rest.

Mr. Brown was predeceased by four brothers, Clifton Brown, William Earl Brown, Edgar Brown and T.E. Brown, four sisters, Noette Suddeth, Wendell Campbell, Mary Turner and Nellie Tate, and a grandson, Cody Brown.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Northwood Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Michael Joe Harvell and Dr. Gary Rogers.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Mason, Brandon Duncan, Rock Sudduth, Scott Nix, Michael Campbell and Richard Balmer.
Honorary escort will be the Ready Sunday School Class of Northwood Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
