Helen Bishop Burrell, 100, of Greer, S.C., died October 29, 2014.?

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of J. Angus Burrell, daughter of Jason H. and Emma Littlefield Bishop.

She was a member of Greer First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over forty years.

Mrs. Burrell was retired from the School District of Greenville County.

Surviving:

Surviving are son, Arnold Burrell (Patsy), daughter, Beth Burrell; four grandchildren, Keely Remedios (Rich), Scott Hughes (Jessica), Derren Burrell (Gloria), and Stacy Tapp (David), great-grandchildren; Lydia, Luke, David, Rebekah, Nathanael Burrell, Foster, Prescott, Charles, Emily Hughes, and Ivey Tapp; and two sisters; Marguerite Taylor and Imogene Bowyer.

Funeral Services:

The family would like to give special thanks to Lutheran Hospice, especially to Victoria Albert who was exceptionally kind; and to Mrs. Burrell's special caregivers; Rhonda Underwood, Kathy Fowler, Sandra Turner and Deb Stewart.

The service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Baxter Wynn and Mrs. Dottie Bryson with private burial to follow.

Memorials may be given to Greer Community Ministries or the Cancer Society of Greenville County.
