Herbert Hoover Richardson, 88, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2018.

A native of Churchville, Maryland, son of the late O.M. and Blye Spencer Richardson, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired employee of General Electric and a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Clarene Brown Richardson of the home; three daughters, Ruth Soden of Dothan, Alabama, Linda King (David) of Travelers Rest and Sandra Richardson of Greer; one son, Doug Richardson (Cathy) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Richardson was predeceased by one son, Jimmy Richardson, one brother, Spencer Richardson and one sister, Margaret Wilmoth.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Michael Gray.

Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday at the church.

The family is at the home.
