Hoyt Andrew Swafford, Sr., 88, passed away January 7, 2022.

A native of Habersham County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Hubert M.
Swafford Sr. and Mary Shirley Swafford.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired general manager for Roane Barker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He was lovingly known as Papa H to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite activities included talking about history and shag dancing on the weekends.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Van Swafford (Tina) of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Rene
Swafford of Greer; three grandchildren, Amanda Swafford (Brandon Tyner), Blake
Swafford (Sara Ashleigh), and Brooke Lacell (Richard); and two great-grandchildren, Rylynn Davis, and R.J. Lacell.

Mr. Swafford was predeceased by one son, Drew Swafford, one brother, Hubert
M. Swafford Jr, and a sister, Joyce Fleming.

Funeral Services:

A cryptside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, at
Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Jeff Shirley.

Visitation will be held after the service at the cryptside.

The family is at the home of Van and Tina Swafford.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road,
Greenville, SC 29605.
