Hugh Foster Jackson, 84, of Holly Springs, entered his eternal rest on February 27, 2022.

He was born August 6, 1937, to Lewis and Eula Cooper Jackson of Holly Springs.

He retired from Fiber Industries and Sealed Air Corporation, and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He served as a Commissioner of the Holly Springs Fire Department and was a reserve Captain of the Spartanburg County Sheriff?s Office.

Surviving:

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Anderson Jackson of the home; his son, Jerry Hugh Jackson (Leigh) of Holly Springs; great-grandson, Matt Jackson (Alyssa); one brother, Kenneth Jackson (Sue) of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held noon Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Inman, S.C., officiated by Dr. Tim Clark and Matt Henderson.

Visitation will be held 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday brefore the service at the church.

Honorary escort will be the Holly Springs Fire Department and Spartanburg County Sheriff?s Office.

The family extends a special thank you to Margaret Forrester "his daughter" and the hospice nurses at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, S.C..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 251 Hannon Road., Inman, S.C., 29349, or St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude?s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
