James (Jimmy) Douglas Wilson, 71, died September 10, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph Gustus and Pauline Short Wilson, a retired employee of The Waggoners Trucking Company, a US Army Veteran and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Matthews Wilson of the home; three daughters, Sherrie Ann Johnson of Taylors, Michelle Griffith of Chattanooga, TN and Dana Farley of Nashville, TN; three sons, Michael Wilson of Travelers Rest, Doug Wilson of Loganville, GA and Joseph Wilson of Asheville, NC; three brothers; one sister; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wilson was predeceased by one son, Ken Abercrombie.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Joe Hayes and Rev. John Sullivan.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p. m. Monday at the Wood Mortuary.
