Jasper M. Clayton, 74, died October 22, 2013 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Claude L. and Geneva A. Burnett Clayton, he was a retired employee of Winn Dixie for 32 years, farmed all his life, and attended Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Jervis R. Clayton of Inman; one daughter, Cynthia C. Richardson of Lyman; one step-daughter, Mary Ann Pearson of Inman; one brother, Howard Clayton of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Markus Foster, Harley Richardson, Bo Richardson and Jewell Richardson and one step-grandson, Damian Pearson.
Mr. Clayton was predeceased one brother, Roy James Clayton.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday at Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Chris Jackson and Mr. Doug Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Markus Foster, Steve Brackett, Fain Hawk, James Clayton, Austin Brackett and Alex Hawk.
The family is at the home.
