James "Jimmy" Hyson Sims, Jr., 73, passed away September 5, 2022.

A native of Greenville, son of the late James Hyson Sims, Sr., and Helen Rodgers Sims, he was a retired employee of MorOil Technologies and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Throughout his years of traveling in his profession, his many customers in the textile industry became his friends.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Riddle Sims of the home; two sons, James "J" Hyson Sims III of Greenville and David E. Thomas, Jr. (Sherry) of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Stacy Sims Pike (Phil) of Fort Mill; a brother-in-law, David Riddle of Saluda; grandchildren, Branden Thomas, David Thomas III (Maria), Tanner Klessens, Anslyn Klessens, Eric Sanders, Brooke Sanders Knighton (Dillon), Hannah Leigh Pike, Charlotte Pike, Will Pike, and Sam Pike; and great-grandchildren, Nora, Grayson, Kensley, and Brycen

Jimmy had many cousins, nieces, and nephews he loved so much and many close friends who were like sisters and brothers to him.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Pastor Weston Pendergrass and Pastor Phil Pike with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
