A much loved husband, father and grandfather, John Fowler, 85, of Greer, SC passed away peacefully at his home April 25, 2018 surrounded by his family.

John was born July 14, 1932 in Blue Ridge, the son of the late William Arthur Fowler and Pearl Henson Fowler. He was the devoted husband of Vicki L. Fowler for 57 years.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

John proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956, he received two degrees after retirement where he was named to the Dean?s List.

He was a mason, served as a volunteer with Disaster Relief in New Orleans and Meals on Wheels.

John is remembered as a phenomenal husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid gardener, traveler and lover of all people.

Surviving:

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vicki Fowler; one daughter, Renee Raffaldt and her husband, Lin and two sons, Randy Fowler and his wife, Leisa and Devon Fowler and his wife, Cindy all of Greer; seven grandchildren, Miranda Breazeale, Travis Bryant and his wife Amanda, Ryan Fowler and Jonathan Fowler and his wife, Annie, Erin Raffaldt, Lauren Lamb and her husband, Dylan, and Amberly Fowler; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Carroll and Larry Fowler both of Greer.

John was predeceased by his sister, Sadie Robison.

Funeral Services:

The celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Marion McCuen and Steve Evans.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC 29601.
