John Claude Barnette, 70, passed away May 28, 2022, at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of John W. Barnette of Taylors and the late
Betty Wilson Barnette, he was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School, a retired
maintenance engineer, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, a former
member of the Blue Ridge 4 Wheel Drive Club, and a member of Taylors First
Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving also are his wife, Betsy Funderburk Barnette of the home; one son,
Pastor Andy Barnette (Ashley) of St. Clare, Missouri; one daughter, Brooke
Barnette of Taylors; one sister, Frankie Bradley of Taylors; and three
grandchildren, Addyson Barnette, J.D. Barnette, and Jason Barnette.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at The Wood
Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Jerry Long.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary
before the service.
