John E. Brown, 70, died February 21, 2014 at his home.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Carl T. and Willie Hudson Brown, he was a retired employee of G.E. Gas Turbine and a member of Praise Cathedral.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Owens Brown of the home; a daughter, Allison Brockman of Moore; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Anna Brown of Woodruff; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Daphine Brown, Joe Brown, Willie (Robert) and Jane Brown, Jimmy and Barbara Brown all of Greer, and David and Jan Brown of Woodruff; a sister, Rosie B. Anderson of Greer; and two grandsons, Patrick and Matthew Brockman.

Mr. Brown was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Praise Cathedral.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Praise Cathedral, conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden, Rev. Bobby Johnson and Mr. Tim Rhymer.

Entombment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Kline, James Griffith, Ronnie Clayton, Mike Cox, Rocky Howard, Bengy Rhodes and Allen Good.

Honorary escort will be the Tuesday Night Prayer Group.

The family is at the home.
