John "Jack" Alvin Messer, III, 80, passed away December 11, 2021.

A native of Galax, Virginia, he was a son of the late John Alvin, Jr., and Winifred Nuckolls Messer; a retired owner of Messer Mirror Corporation and a member of Christian Assembly of God.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Powell Messer of the home; one son, John Alvin Messer, IV, of Simpsonville; one daughter, Ashley Messer Wilson of Greenville, one step-son, Shawn P. O?Brien of Taylors; one brother, Alan "Boo" Matthew Messer and his wife, Jill; sister-in-law, Wanda Messer and six grandchildren, Lance, Dallas, Morgan Sweatt and Dillon, Luke and Samuel O?Brien.

He was also predeceased by one brother, Doug Messer.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary, Inc.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Christian Assembly Upstate, 2416 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615, conducted by Rev. Mark White.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
