John Wallace Riddle, 96, husband of the late Doris Lurean Wilson, passed away February 10, 2022, at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late James Leon and Josie Lee Greer Riddle, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a D-Day survivor, a retired employee of Homelite, and member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two sons, Wallace Riddle (Penny) and Sam Riddle (Claudia) all of Greer; five grandchildren, Wallace Dustin Riddle, Julie Ann Mason, April Staggs, Nicholas Riddle and Adam Riddle; six great-grandchildren, Charlie John Staggs, Carter Staggs, Bryson Wallace Riddle, Kaysen Lee Riddle, David Mason, and Lindsey Fortson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Emma Rose Mason, Owen Mason and Dakota Fortson.

He was also predeceased by two brothers, Leon Riddle and Tommy Riddle and two sisters, Jean Campbell and Mildred Hayes.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, conducted by Rev. Steve Evans and Dr. Eddie Leopard.

The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family is at their respective homes.
