Johnny Oliver Bruce, 68, passed away on June 16, 2016 and Heaven gained a kind and gentle angel.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late John Edgar and Fay King Bruce, he was a former employee of Greer Parks and Recreation, a US Marine Vietnam War Veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife Vickie Belcher Bruce of the home; five children, Michael Bruce (Michelle) of Simpsonville, Rodney Bruce of Florida, Ricky Bruce of Simpsonville, Brandy Bruce of Simpsonville and Christie Harris Hardin (Charles) of Taylors; one sister, Carol Dempsey (Jerrald) of Greenville and ten grandchildren.

Mr. Bruce was predeceased by one son, Brandy Harris.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 2:45-3:45 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
