Lamont Vernon Stokes, 87, of 709 Quillen Ave., died July 20, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greenville, son of the late Steven A. and Birdie Campbell Stokes, he was the owner of Lamont V. Stokes Insurance Agency and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Fran Stokes of Greenville and Mike and Saida Stokes of Simpsonville; two daughters and son-in-law, Lynn Faller of Cayce and Jane and Michael Orr of Piedmont; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
Mr. Stokes was predeceased by one daughter, Mary Ann Odom and her husband, Taylor and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The families are at their respective homes.
