Charner Leroy Wofford, Sr., of Lyman, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Greer Memorial Hospital.

Born April 13, 1928 in Campobello, he was the son of the late Ralph Gussie Wofford and Mattie Pruitt Wofford.

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, an active member of Elks Lodge #1310 of Spartanburg and a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing. Mr. Wofford formerly sold cars for Benson Automotive Group.

Surviving:

Surviving is his beloved wife, Mary Louise Loftis Wofford of 68 years; three sons, Jerry Wofford (Diann) of Greer, Terry Wofford of Lyman and Charner Wofford, Jr. (Cheri) of Reidville; three granddaughters, Angela Dimsdale (Roger) of Greer, Chessica Oetjens (Kurt) of Monroe, MI and Brittney Martin (Blair) of Mt. Pleasant; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Dimsdale, Riley Oetjens, Ella Oetjens, Abby Oetjens, Van Martin and Aden Louise Martin and three siblings, Dorothy Bright of Gaffney, Sue Lowe of Boiling Springs and Olin Wofford of Hendersonville, N.C.

Mr. Wofford is predeceased by three brothers.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steve Durham. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Pack, Ronnie Pack, Roger Dimsdale, Blair Martin, Kurt Oetjens, Jeff Burns and Todd Burns.

Visitation will be held 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church.

The family is at the home.
