Louise Davis Dempsey, 95, of Lyman, died September 29, 2014 at Magnolia Manor Inman.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. H.E. Davis.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arvel; a son, Gene; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis; and a great-granddaughter, Ellison Grey Fowler.

Surviving:

Mrs. Dempsey is survived by sons, Rev. Joe Dempsey and Everett (Mary) Dempsey all of Inman; a daughter-in-law, Priscilla of Lyman; a sister Othello Ballenger of Wellford; seven grandchildren; Lisa Withrow (Jason), Karen McMakin (Jim), Deanna Phillips (John), Leslie LeMaster (Todd), David Dempsey and a friend he works with Lawrence Adkins, Laura Dempsey and Anna Fowler (Joseph); seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and two step-great-grandsons.

Also surviving are a wonderful caretaker Beverly Lowery (Tommy) and good helping friends, Ellen A. Watson (Danny) and Doyle Lindsey.

Funeral Services:

Memorial services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Lyman at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and will be officiated by Rev. Steve Durham and Rev. Joe Dempsey.

Visitation will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1600 Holly Springs Road, Lyman, S.C. 29365.
