Louise Slatton Fortenberry-Hudson, 84, widow of Lawrence E. Hudson, passed away September 9, 2022.

A native of Greenville County, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Ellen Howard Hudson; was a retired elementary school teacher at Gateway Elementary School for the Greenville County School District and member of Apalache Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Brian Childers and Rev. Jerry Bryant.

A private entombment will be held at Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held 1 ? 1:45 p.m. Saturday, at the mortuary before the service.
