Margaret "Jeannie" P. Henson, 82, formerly of Lyman, SC, widow of Garold "Bud" Henson, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl Pruitt, Sr. and Eula Hall Pruitt.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Greer, SC, retired from Raycord Corp. and ADO Corp.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She loved her Lord and set the example for those around her of love, forgiveness and giving.

After her retirement, she was always on the go. She loved to hand quilt with the ladies at Lyman First Baptist Church.

She volunteered her time at The Warehouse, The Middle Tyger Community Center where she was a Volunteer of the Year and various other organizations.

Surviving:

Left to cherish her memories are nieces, Debra McKinney (Johnny), Pam Morgan (Baxter), and Jeannie Smith; nephews, Steve Porter (Harriet), Jeff Porter (Phyllis), Don Pruitt (Carla), Ron Huddleston (Judy), Kenneth Pruitt (Melaine), Byron Pruitt, Mike Pruitt (Jean Smith), Tim Pruitt (Bryttani), Shane Pruitt (Heather), Gary Pruitt (Wanda), and Don Stokes (Ruth); and sister-in-law, Ann Pruitt Swecker.

She was predeceased in death by brothers, Carl Jr., Herbert, Roy, and David Pruitt and sisters, Clara Huddleston, Helen Porter, and Shirley Storey.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Odell Mosley.

A private burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 410 S. Main St., Greer, SC 29650 or Middle Tyger Community Center, 84 Groce Road, Lyman, SC 29365.
