Emily Marie Dempsey Bridwell, 90, widow of Perry George Bridwell, of 201 Ridgewood Drive, died August 9, 2013 at the National Health Care in Greer.

A native of Greer, she was a daughter of the late Robert Rabbi and Mary Louise Griffin Dempsey, a retired employee of Milliken Research Corp. and member of Victor Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Vaughn and her husband, Rev. Billy E. Vaughn of Rutherfordton, NC and Sandra Dillard and her husband, Don Dillard of Greenville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Robert Dempsey; a sister, Grace Dempsey, three half brothers and three half sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Victor Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery and Rev. Billy E. Vaughn. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
