Mary Ruth Henson Farmer, 97, of 3811 Jordan Road, widow of Jessie Runion Farmer, died May 9, 2016.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Samuel David and Alice Victoria Henson, she was a homemaker, a lifetime member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and was a former children?s Sunday school teacher for 40-plus years.

Surviving:

Surviving are three sons, Jackie Farmer and friend (Louise Hudson) of Duncan, Garold Farmer (Evangeline) of Greer and Charles Farmer (Kay) of Greer; one sister, Dorothy Hudson of Greer; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Farmer was predeceased by one daughter, Thelma Irene Tooley; two sons, Benny Farmer and Jessie Dean Farmer, Sr.; one brother, Jay Henson and one sister, Myrtle Farmer.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Smith, Rev. Maurice Henson and Rev. Eddie Cooper.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

The family is at home of a son, Charles Farmer, 3929 Line Road, Greer, SC 29651.

In lieu of flowers, per her request, memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 572 Mount Lebanon Church, Road, Greer, SC 29651.
