Mary Frances Stevenson Jenkins, 90, of 117 Pine Street, widow of William Earl Jenkins, died November 10, 2018 at Oakleaf Village. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Richard Lamar Jenkins and his wife, Barbara Jenkins; one sister, Evelyn Stevenson Etheredge; two brothers, Hugh Allen Stevenson and Charles Phillip Stevenson.

Born in Blue Ridge, GA., daughter of the late Richard Allen Stevenson and Essie Lenora Griffin Stevenson, she was a retired Greenville County Health Department employee.

Mary was a volunteer at Greer Relief and a driver for Greer Community Ministries Meals on Wheels. She was a Sunday School teacher at Greer First Baptist Church and a member of the Sanctuary Choir and WMU.

Mary was a loving mother, devoted wife and loved The Lord with all her heart, a love she passed on to others. She was a gardener, devoted "Jeopardy!" fan and wore her Clemson orange proudly.




Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Jenkins Traenkle of Greer; two nieces, Martha Stevenson Etheredge Campbell of Clearwater, FL., and Ruth Clarke Etheredge Zachry of Columbia, S.C.; two nephews, Edwin Hugh Etheredge and Robert Kail Stevenson both of Asheville, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Janice Stevenson of Asheville, N.C.; four great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Chaplain Jeff Grant. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Honorary escorts will be the Truth Seekers Sunday School class of Greer First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Friday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
