Myrtle Virginia Cantrell Massengale, 93, widow of Leroy Massengale, passed away August 12, 2021, after a brief illness.

A native of Greer, she was a daughter of the late Allie and Lizzie Beth Arnold Cantrell, a homemaker, and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

She loved the Lord, her family, and her dear friends. She had a sweet smile and a kind word for everyone she knew.

Surviving:

Surviving are three sons, Leroy Gene Massengale, Roger Phillip Massengale, and Byron Lee Massengale (Laura); one daughter, Joye Beth Massengale Alexander; seven grandchildren, Tim Massengale (Brenda), Autumn Massengale, Josh Nodine (Tabitha), Adam Massengale (Brooke), Matt Massengale (Callie), Shanna Walker (Kevin), and Virginia Cononie (Michael); 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021, at Graceland East Memorial Park conducted by Dr. Doug Mize.

Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery.
