Pamela Compton Lassiter, of Lyman, SC, died at Spartanburg Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends on April 2, 2015. She was 47 years old.

Pam was born on February 10, 1968 in Austin, TX and grew up in Rockingham, NC. She married John Lassiter in 1996 in Cape Hatteras, NC and they lived in the Carolinas where they were raising their children, John and Haley.

Pam made many close friends as a dental assistant at Greenville Family Dentistry in Greer, SC.

Pam was also very involved with her daughter?s cheering at Rockstar Cheer in Greer, where she was a rocking Team Mom.

Pam passed away after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She fought like a "Rockstar" and never gave up.

Pam will be remembered as a person who lived life to its fullest. She was thankful for every second that she had and loved her family and friends with a fierceness that was amazing.

Surviving:

Pam is survived by her father Burrell Compton and stepmother Linda Compton both of Rockingham, NC, and preceded in death by her mother Patricia Troioli of Shreveport, LA. She is also survived by her husband John Lassiter, her son John Lassiter Jr, and her daughter Haley Lassiter, all of Lyman, SC, and her sister Nicole Compton of Rockingham, NC.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Wood Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Michael Jo Harvell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Pam?s name, to the Gibbs Cancer Center.
