Roger Dale Humphries, 67, died February 5, 2014 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Willie Howard and Esther Mae Lewis Humphries, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, and a member of Apalache Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Betty Brisontine Humphries of the home; a daughter, Dana Humphries of Reidville; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Renn Farmer of Monroe, North Carolina; a brother, James Humphries of Greenwood; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Jean and Nelson Strange of Campobello; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Humphries was predeceased by one brother, Roy Michael Humphries.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Apalache Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper and Rev. Michael Owenby. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Honorary escorts will be the Golden Hearts of Apalache Baptist Church and Roger?s golfing buddies.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home.
