Sara Grubbs Brown, 91, widow of Russell Earl Brown, went to her home prepared in Heaven on October 15, 2016 surrounded by her family.

A lifelong resident of Pelham, daughter of the late Russell and Rhetta Gentry Grubbs, she was a faithful member of Pelham First Baptist Church for most of her life.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Edwards of Greer; two grandsons and their wives, Rusty and Kelly Edwards, Jeffrey and Allison Edwards; seven great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brooke, Emma Kate, Kaleb, Justin, Johnathan and Julian; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Betty Grubbs of Greer; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bob Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Margaret and Ed Leonard of Greer and Doris Bayne of Anderson.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by three brothers, Gary Grubbs, Cecil Grubbs and Junior Grubbs and one sister, Lucille Leonard.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Pelham First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Chad Hastings, Rev. Ansel Norris and Dr. Drew Hines. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
